Goals, not prompts
Describe the business outcome. FormalEngine plans, delegates and coordinates the work.
Run research, product, engineering, growth and operations without hiring a full team. On your own hardware, managed GPU compute or selectively approved premium models — with human authority over consequential actions.

FormalEngine organises goals, roles, departments, capabilities, models and tools in a governed company runtime. Models propose. Deterministic code enforces.
Describe the business outcome. FormalEngine plans, delegates and coordinates the work.
Research, Product, Engineering, Growth and Operations use stable roles while models remain replaceable compute resources.
Internal work can run autonomously. Material actions wait for your approval or a clearly defined standing policy.
Overview, Goals, Work, Approvals, organisation, capabilities and knowledge in one operator experience.
Local-first is not offline nostalgia. It is a data and authority boundary: sensitive work stays local, cloud compute is explicitly allowed, and every consequential action crosses policy gates.
Run open models locally when your hardware meets the requirements.
Managed compute available on request during private beta.
Anthropic Claude or OpenAI models only for explicitly allowed roles, tasks and data classes.
local_default = true cloud_allowed = task.policy.cloud data_class = task.context.classification if cloud_allowed and policy.permits(data_class): route(premium_model) else: route(local_model) # Cloud may coordinate. The local node enforces.
FormalEngine scales through an organised digital company with explicit ownership — not more chat windows.
Operate beyond your headcount.

Markus Scherreik is a software entrepreneur and product builder focused on AI-native systems, automation and infrastructure. FormalEngine grew from a simple premise: AI should be able to do real company work without giving opaque agents uncontrolled authority over your data, systems and budget.
FormalEngine is a private beta. The architecture is clear; individual providers, integrations and managed-compute options will continue to evolve.
No. Your own hardware is the preferred local-first path when model requirements are met. Managed GPU / cloud nodes are available on request during private beta.
Yes. Premium cloud models can be selectively enabled by role, task, data class and policy. Local models remain the default.
No. The product principle is LOCAL BY DEFAULT / SYNC BY POLICY. Raw files, secrets and sensitive local data are not implicitly synchronised.
No. Chat is only an interface. The core is a company runtime with an event ledger, authority, policies, capabilities, tools and evidence.
